Organic & Fair Trade Certified Rishi Tea: Herbal, White, Green, Black
Organic and fair trade certified superb loose leaf tea: black, pu-erh, green, white, and herbal. Frank Hadley Murphy's book The Spirit of Tea refers to tea's spiritual quality as "direct experience of the divine through the plant kingdom." Rishi won 7 1st place awards at the 2008 World Tea Championship and 11 in 2009, mostly for organic tea competing with conventionally grown tea. Rishi Tea partners with growers for organic cultivation, sustainable harvesting, and artisan processing. Rishi's sourcing and processing in Chinese and Southeast Asian antique tea villages results in amazing teas from ancient tea trees that others can't offer. Rishi's long-term relations with growers provide schools, clean water, roads, college funds, and hill-tribe cultural centers. Enjoy remarkable flavor and health benefits of Rishi Tea hot or iced, and contribute to sustainability and ethical global business. Organic Fair Trade Certified Caffeine-Free Botanical Loose Tea Blends
Rishi's herbal teas are beyond the ordinary. They are all great hot or iced. Some contain Rooibos, a shrub-like botanical from specific micro-climates of South Africa. First consumed by the Koi and San nomadic tribes of the Western Cape, Rooibos is a nutritious herb with bountiful health benefits. This all natural, caffeine-free source of powerful antioxidants strengthens the body's immunity against ageing and disease. Rooibos contains vitamin C and E, iron, zinc, potassium, and calcium. Rooibos is adaptogenic and anti-spasmatic; it promotes restful sleep and relaxation.

Organic and Fair Trade Certified Black Tea
Black tea aids heart health, helps prevent plaque build-up in arteries, increases bone density, kills oral bacteria, and fights bad breath. Vitamin- and mineral-rich oolong teas lower cholesterol and blood sugar, strengthen tooth enamel, and aid with slimming/weight loss.

Organic & Fair Trade Certified Green Tea
Green teas are heat-processed soon after harvest to prevent leaf oxidation. Green teas are defined by the “varietal” of tea bush, season of harvest, and method of heat used to halt oxidation of the tealeaves. Soil, elevation, and ecological condition of the tea garden also contribute to flavor and characteristics. Each origin has its own signature flavor and aroma.
Green tea has a high content of cancer-fighting antioxidants. Its antiseptic and anti-viral effects kill oral microorganisms that can lead to colds and flu. These potent source of vitamins and minerals strengthen tooth enamel and fight bad breath. All this plus exquisite taste and aroma from a simple cup of tea.

Organic White Tea
White teas are the least processed of all teas, more forgiving of water temperature and brewing time than green tea, and less bitter. White teas are very low in caffeine and contain high concentrations of antioxidant polyphenols (tea catechins) and L-Theanine amino acid, which promotes longevity and concentration. White tea has anti-aging and anti-stress properties; it is cooling and detoxifying.
Rishi White Teas are cultivated organically at select smallholder gardens using authentic white tea bush varietals and the classic white tea leaf-withering process. We regret that Organic Snow Buds is sold out until July 2011.
