Subtle levels of the mechanics of creation and various forms of symbolism spontaneously dance across all these pieces of paper. All my works are explorations of my own inner images and the images I see in the world around me - the world in nature, books, and art. My inspiration comes from quiet interior states, meditation experiences, and contemplative creative time. My artistic goals include continuing to create work that expands and enlivens consciousness, that nourishes and is a wonder to myself and others. I want to make a lasting contribution by delving into the mystery of creating something from nothing and bringing forth art that evokes the sacred. Like Matisse, I wish my art to heal people and evoke greater happiness and wholeness in the world. I hope I am always doing this.
The purpose of creative work is to bring the impulses of our lives and work to the unboundedness of the infinite, thereby linking them with the source of creative intelligence. Through repeated contact with this reservoir of poetry-art-creativity, life rises to a state in which inspiration is a constant and the mundane is luminous revelation. At this point the magical, intriguing search for our own forms and our own self really begins.
Art is intuitive satisfying fun joyful a flow of creativity and a flow of consciousness movement within silence enlivening a healing following of one's own Self
Creating art is a devotional activity. I am not really the doer; the pieces are done through me by the divine/the universe/cosmic creative intelligence. If I try to paint or get too attached to being the artist, I gum up the process. My artwork is a gift that brings me joy and silence, clarity and centeredness. My goal is that it will enliven these qualities in its viewers also.
