Artist Residency at Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art
Two weeks after September 11, 2001, I was Artist in Residence at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. After 911, I could only think of creating reflections of what is really important in this life: beauty, the divine, subtle levels of the creative process, love and joy, healing and service to the world.
BMoCA was noisy and active with deliveries, museum visitors asking me questions about my art, and staff hanging a show. Working much smaller than usual allowed me to maintain composition and focus on development of these little pastel painting icons.
